Blurb:
Eshita was barely a teenager when she lost her father. Deprived of fatherly affection, she was determined to become an independent person as soon as possible. She found love in another man and soon settled into a comfortable life. But life had other plans for her. Reality hit when a certain incident revealed dark secrets about her in the form of a haunted dream. She wasn’t the same after that.

Will Eshita be able to get her life back and live up to her dreams and ambitions, or will her sole reason to live be taken away from her? Read A Hiccup in Love to find out more.

My thoughts:
A hiccup in love has a lot of twists and turns, and when I say a lot I mean it there are a lot of them. This book puts light on some very important topics- marriage, trust, honesty, divorce, love, extra-marital affair and infidelity.
The plot revolves around Eshita whose only support is broken when she realises that her husband is cheating on her. Tough been an independent woman in her college days she now is caught in the act of being the perfect wife and mother, but one can’t be so perfect. She finds her creative side and starts a blog of her own. But amidst all the happiness the biggest shock of her life awaits her, her husband cheating on her. Though after a lot of hurdles the lovers are reunited with the help of their son, family and friends.
The plot is great but I lost on to the story sometimes because there is a lot happening. But the situation faced by Eshita is portrayed well as she represents today’s modern and independent women.
Writing style:
The narration is to the point and the character development too is solid. Writing style is lucid and flows pretty well. It’s just the repetition of certain events that breaks the flow. Overall it was a pretty entertaining and enlightening read.
