Akshay Saxena, an out of work editor of a defunct literary magazine in the UK, is told to move to India for a year to help shore up the value of Kalim, an ailing Indian publisher.

Akshay finds himself in a job where he has to do the impossible. Angus Lee, the new owner of Thomson Lee Books, wants at least five bestsellers in the coming year, failing which the business would be wound up.

He has to find a way of making a success out of books he would never publish or would never even read. To complicate things further, he has to contend with motley crew of has-beens and misfits working for the publishing house as well as wannabe writers, dealing with their follies and derisive tactics, and battle his own affections for Zorah Kalim, the impulsive daughter of his former boss.

Will he succeed in bringing out that one ‘bestseller’ from his publishing house? And what about his own life and love in office? Find out in this riveting read.

My thoughts:

Bestseller is a book which made me rethink about our book industry I mean i have read books of some “popular” authors and think is this even a book.. It seems trash and come on most of us might have had this feeling, been a reviewer gave me opportunities to bring out books which are actually worth it… this been one of them.

Its one of my finest reads, the way Akshays story unfolds makes you see the reality of publishing houses who strike to make a book which u cant even read a bestseller… Akashays story is filled with humor sarcasam and spiced with love and twists and turns oh I forgot struggle…

Mr. Faiyaz has done a great job in bringing some fun elements together and weaving a book which you can read and is a sure shot bestseller.. I love the way the story shapes and takes you on a roller coaster ( and just for some insights I love roller coasters!)

The writing style is so sophisticated and simple.. The book flows beautifully.. Its a treat reading this book just like eating brownies!!

I loved reading it.. if you want to read it to grab your copy now!!
