Keira Swanson, 28, lands her dream job at Viatorum, a slick magazine in New York City, as an aspiring travel writer. But their culture is brutal, her boss is a monster, and she doesn’t know if she can last for long.

That changes when Keira, by a fluke, is handed a coveted assignment and given her big chance: to travel to Ireland for 30 days, witness the legendary Lisdoonvarna festival of love, and to debunk the myth that true love exists. Keira, cynical herself and in a rocky place with her long-term boyfriend, is all too happy to oblige.

But when Keira falls in love with Ireland and meets her Irish tour guide, who just may be the man of her dreams, she is no longer sure of anything.

A whirlwind romantic comedy that is as profound as it is funny, LOVE LIKE THIS is book #1 in the debut of a dazzling new romance series that will make you laugh, cry, and will keep you turning pages late into the night—and will make you fall in love with romance all over again.

Characters: Keira, Shane
My thoughts:
Love Like This is a light read. I randomly picked this book from kindle as I needed something to ease my tension. Kiera an American girl is someone who doesn’t believe in love and is sent to Ireland for an assignment for a month. She is not a believer of love and defies everything, until she meets Shane a poor tour guide. Love blossoms at the most unexpected time and she starts understanding what love is all about. Like any other romantic story where the hero goes from rags to riches, it doesn’t happen here. Though the story is a tad bit predictable it’s a fun read. The timing of certain event seems irrelevant to the story. An example to eternal love can be felt from the old couple. The festival of love is used as a backdrop throughout the book. Some characters like the matchmaker and the bar owner bring in the humour once in a while. Overall I enjoyed reading the book.
Writing style:
The language used is very simple and crisp. The author has not stuffed any big words in the story making it ideal for beginners. I like the smooth narration which is maintained throughout the book. There are a lot of fun instances in the book which bring a smile on ones face specially one with exposing the menacing boss. A few chapters seem to be irrelevant. The curiosity for the next book is maintained making u carve to know more of Kiera. Overall it’s a great and a light read book.
